Orioles catcher Matt Wieters has been on fire all through the month of September, but he appears to be ramping up his performance at the plate during this important road series against the Boston Red Sox.
He has hits in his first three at-bats in today’s game and has 10 hits in his last 22 at-bats. That has temporarily raised his batting average in September to .365. He also has driven in one of the Orioles three runs through the fifth inning.
This is just going to make it extra hard for manager Buck Showalter to take him out of the lineup for tomorrow's series finale.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
