<b>Keeping it together:</b> Though the one-game wild card playoff might as well be the seventh game of the World Series from a strategic point of the world, it certainly won't be the end of the world either way for the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000160" title="Baltimore Orioles" href="/topic/sports/baseball/baltimore-orioles-ORSPT000160.topic">Orioles</a>. They will be back next year with the young nucleus of the team and finally are at a point where the acquisition of a couple more quality players might make them a force in the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT00000154" title="American League East" href="/topic/sports/baseball/american-league-east-ORSPT00000154.topic">American League East</a> for several years to come. It would be even better if they could lock up <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PESPT000010503" title="Matt Wieters" href="/topic/sports/baseball/matt-wieters-PESPT000010503.topic">Matt Wieters</a> with a long-term deal to take him a few years past free agency and avoid the possibility of alienating him in salary arbitration.

They will be back next year with the young nucleus of the team and finally are at a point where the acquisition of a couple more quality players might make them a force in the American League East for several years to come. It would be even better if they could lock up Matt Wieters with a long-term deal to take him a few years past free agency and avoid the possibility of alienating him in salary arbitration.
