Now for the bad news: It was easily the worst week of the season for the Orioles infield on all fronts. Manny Machado made two errors on Monday night and Chris Davis made a key error early in the series opener against the Rays. J.J. Hardy also committed an error. The Orioles still are going to shatter the record for fewest errors in a season (65, held by the 2003 Mariners), but fatigue appears to be setting in. Offensively, it was even uglier. Each of the four infield positions batted below .200 for the week, and all infielders combined to drive in just five RBIs in six games. The only reason this isn't a complete fail is that Chris Davis set the club's all-time single-season home run record with his 51st homer of the season.
