THE SAVE THAT WASN'T
Jim Johnson was going to blow a save sooner or later, so all you can really do after an outing like Tuesday night's is to tip your cap to him (if you are one of those people who wear caps) and take comfort in the knowledge that he will not let one tough night bleed over into the upcoming weekend series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Johnson is one of those guys who is always harder on himself than anybody else could possibly be, but that relentless internal drive seems to work for him. Last time I looked, saving 35 games in 36 opportunities is pretty good.
