Maryland-bound wide receiver Deon Long had another monster game for Iowa Western Community College over the weekend.
In the Reivers' 81-14 rout of Arkansas Baptist, Long caught five passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns.
Long, a D.C. native who caught 47 passes for 809 yards and four touchdowns as a freshman at New Mexico, was profiled by the Southwest Iowa News on Saturday.
And although he’s yet to really play a full game with IWCC winning a wide margin each week, Long is still on pace to break the NJCAA single-season marks in all three categories as well.
“He might be the best receiver in junior college in the country,” Iowa Western coach Scott Strohmeier said. “If he’s not the top, he’s up in the top. He’s just got so much big-play ability.”
Matthew Oliver threw an 89-yard touchdown pass to Jarrett Ross for Charter's only score in the fourth quarter.
