Maryland is one of many schools in the running for Abdul-Malik Abu.

The 2014 forward was profiled over the weekend by NBC Sports' College Basketball Talk. One Division I coach told NBC that Abu reminded him of "a young Emeka Okafor."

He claims interest and offers from a long list of schools, among them Maryland Notre Dame, Seton Hall, Providence, Miami, Kansas, Michigan State, Temple, Iowa State, Cincinnati, Rutgers, and others.

** Northstar Basketball caught up with 2014 Potomac guard Dion Wiley for an update on his recruitment.

Wiley listed scholarship offers from Maryland, Rutgers and Georgetown. Additionally, he is being recruited by Indiana, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami, Syracuse, Iowa, Villanova, George Mason, and others.

** The Harrison twins helped Team USA to a 87-86 win over New York City in the second annual Big Strick Classic.

The Travis (Texas) point guard, who carried the squad most of the night, had just missed the front end of a 1-and-1 on the other end after scoring 14 points.

"No competitor wants to lose these games," said [Andrew] Harrison, one of the nation’s top recruits.
