Already visiting their family in nearby Baltimore, Andrew and Aaron Harrison, the nation’s No. 3- and No. 6-ranked prospects in the class of 2013 according to 247Sports, stopped by College Park on Tuesday afternoon for an impromptu unofficial visit.

The twins toured Comcast Center – but not the entire campus – with their grandparents, spoke with coach Mark Turgeon and assistant Bino Ranson and watched a team practice.

“It was fine,” Andrew Harrison said in a phone interview with InsideMDSports on Wednesday morning. “We got to watch workouts. We watched some of practice too. The team looked pretty good. Shaq [Cleare], we know him, and he looked good, too.”

The twins have been generally quiet and guarded when it comes to media interviews regarding their recruitment, and that didn’t change Wednesday. Andrew Harrison kept his answers short and succinct without much insight into which school he and his brother might eventually choose.

The twins considered staying in College Park overnight with Cleare, their former teammate on the Houston Defenders, but eventually decided to stay with their family in Baltimore.

“We thought about it, but we didn’t stay the night,” Andrew Harrison said. “We ended up staying just a few hours.”

What did the Terps’ coaching staff say to the twins while they were on campus?

“[Turgeon] just told us about the program and stuff,” Andrew Harrison said. “He’s really honest with us about everything.”

Andrew Harrison said he and his brother still plan to make their college decision in late October. Their final four of Baylor, Kentucky, Maryland and Villanova remains the same.
