NASCAR said they will honor Dan Wheldon by placing a decal on all the cars and trucks in Talladega this Saturday and Sunday.

The Lionheart Knight image on the decal is seen on Wheldon’s helmets.  NASCAR said they will also produce helmet decals for drivers who wish to wear the symbols on their helmets.

The labels will be delivered to the track on Friday. NASCAR said the decal will be made available to the drivers during the inspection process, and some of the drivers will have their own momentos to honor Wheldon.

Before the NASCAR Pre Race run of show, there will be a moment of silence for Wheldon.

Wheldon, a two-time winner of the Indy 500, died from injuries sustained in a 15-car accident at the Las Vegas Indy 300 Sunday.
