Indiana captures the NCAA Men's Soccer title

Kotlov's goal in the 64th minute gives the Hoosiers their eighth championship.

HOOVER, Ala. - Last season, Indiana basketball used the slogan "We're Back" after their victory over No. 1 Kentucky and advancement to the Sweet 16.

Now Indiana men's soccer can say the same thing, only their accomplishment is in full.

After an eight-year drought the Hoosiers' captured their eighth championship with a 1-0 victory over Georgetown Sunday afternoon.

Midfielder Nikita Kotlov's goal in the 64th minute was the only score the Hoosiers needed to bring home a championship. It came off a cross from Patrick Doody, which was deflected to Kotlov in the box who booted it past Tomas Gomez for the score.

Luis Soffner pitched the shutout in goal for the Hoosiers.
