Trey Lyles reopens recruitment after early commit to Indiana

The Tech High School forward will consider other options but still considers the Hoosiers a front runner, per head coach Jason Delaney.

INDIANAPOLIS - His commitment to Indiana basketball came before the program regained its status as a national power.

Now that it has, Trey Lyles it taking another look around to see if joining the Hoosiers is indeed the right decision.

On Tuesday afternoon Lyles' head coach at Tech High School Jason Delaney tweeted that the junior-to-be has reopened his recruiting. Lyles originally committed to Indiana before his freshman year with the Titans.

Delaney posted this on his account @CoachDelaney: "Trey Lyles has decided to open his recruitment. He loves IU & it is still #1 but he would like to have something to compare it to."

Ranked as the ninth best player in the Class of 2014 according to, Lyles helped lead Tech to the IPSAC title in the 2011-2012 basketball season.
