Ritter's offense rolls again against Speedway

INDIANAPOLIS - Offense was aplenty at Marian University on Friday night-just as many people might have expected.

The first edition of the "West Side Super Bowl" between Ritter and Park Tudor produced 100 combined points, with the Raiders 62-38.

On Friday in a Sectional 30 Semi-Final, the same scenario played out both in offense and in result.

Aided by a strong first half and quick second half burst, Ritter blew past Speedway 49-21 at St. Vincent Health Field on Friday night.

Ty Hunt's team advances to play Broad Ripple in the Sectional 30 final after the Rockets beat Park Tudor 34-27.

Ritter outscored the Sparkplugs 28-0 in the first half to put the game in doubt even for a Speedway team that averaged 42 points a game. Raiders running back Scott Sholar helped to push the advantage to 42-0 with a pair of third quarter touchdowns and an interception return late in the quarter pushed the advantage to seven touchdowns.

Speedway would score 21 points in the fourth quarter but it wasn't nearly enough to beat the Raiders, who average 52 points a game in their 11 victories.
