TAKE THAT KID: Undrafted free agent Justin Tucker has mostly gotten the better of incumbent Billy Cundiff in the kicking competition, but not Monday. Both were good from 29, 34, 41, 52 and 58 yards. But with the rest of the team getting into each kick, Cundiff converted from 61 yards while Tucker's attempt from the same distance sailed wide right. In fairness to Tucker, there was an issue with the snap that threw off his timing a little bit.
HIM AGAIN: With what he's done in the first two preseason games, it shouldn't be a surprise that two of the three interceptions in Monday's practice were made by rookie safety Omar Brown. The undrafted free agent out of Marshall — who has three fumble recoveries, an interception and an onside kick recovery this preseason — picked off Curtis Painter twice. Danny Gorrer had the other interception, prompting linebacker coach Ted Monachino to say, "Danny, you caught one. Way to go brother."
RAVENS GET PHYSICAL: Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher and defensive end Art Jones got in a little shoving match, but cooler heads prevailed and both separated without further incident. There were two other collisions that created audible thuds. Tight end Billy Bajema chipped linebacker Chavis Williams and knocked him to the ground, and fullback Vonta Leach bounced off of linebacker Stevie Baggs before catching a Joe Flacco pass out of the backfield.

STANDOUT PERFORMER: With his hamstring issues seemingly behind him, second-year wide receiver Tandon Doss is starting to show up more and more in practice. Monday may have been his best session yet, as the 2011 fourth-round pick caught four passes in 11-on-11 drills. Doss is battling LaQuan Williams and rookies Deonte Thompson and Tommy Streeter for the fourth receiver spot.
NEWCOMER WATCH: It's been a quiet camp for former Slippery Rock standout Devin Goda, who has missed extended practice time with injuries. However, the undrafted rookie free agent wide receiver made the catch of the day, elevating over two defenders — cornerback Corey Graham and safety Emanuel Cook — to haul in a pass from Painter.
INJURIES: Defensive end Pernell McPhee missed a second consecutive practice as he remains away from the team to deal with a death in his family. Seven other Ravens continued to be sidelined with injuries. That list includes wide receiver David Reed (knee), tight ends Ed Dickson (shoulder) and Dennis Pitta (broken hand), offensive tackle Jah Reid (calf), linebackers Josh Bynes (back) and Terrell Suggs (Achilles), defensive end Pernell McPhee (personal matter) and defensive tackle Ryan McBean (ankle). Outside linebacker Sergio Kindle (shoulder stinger) was a limited participant in practice and wore a non-contact jersey.
OVERHEARD: "He's got swag." — Running back Ray Rice on Tucker, who after drilling a 58-yard field goal motioned to coach John Harbaugh that he wanted to kick it from even further back.
