It was a heady weekend for the Jones brothers.
On Saturday night, Jon "Bones" Jones defended his UFC light heavyweight championship for the sixth time with a bloody victory over Alexander Gustaffson by unanimous decision, with both fighters going to the hospital afterward for treatment.
"It was a close one," Arthur Jones said of his brother's title defense. "He's still the champ and Team Jones is still going strong."
Jones had three tackles Sunday and dropped Texans quarterback Matt Schaub for a nine-yard loss on a sack.
"Every time I get on the field, I want to make a huge impact," said Jones, who's scheduled to become a free agent at the end of the season. "We've got so many guys, Haloti Ngata, Terrell Suggs and guys coming from all different angles. They can't double us all. They left me one-on-one, and that's not the thing to do."
The Ravens finished with three sacks, including sacks from Ngata and Suggs, who leads the team with three sacks, and seven quarterback hits.
"We're a defense that once we stop the run we've got a lot of guys who can hunt," Jones said. "We've got so many different talented guys on the defense. We're going to keep grinding."
"We just got to keep getting better," Jones said. "If you dwell on that game, it will eat you up for the rest of the season."
