Osemele returns, but Webb joins list of non-participants

Ravens rookie guard/tackle Kelechi Osemele was taken off the physically unable to perform list and returned to practice today, but cornerback Lardarius Webb was not among the participants.

Webb did practice yesterday and there's no early word on what prompted today's absence. Ravens coach John Harbaugh will speak to reporters later today.

Left tackle Bryant McKinnie, who is currently on the reserve/did not report list, also remains away from the team, and defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (hamstring) remains sidelined.

Aside from Webb, the only other addition to the absentee list is reserve guard/center Justin Boren.

Wide receiver/kick returner David Reed (knee), linebacker Terrell Suggs (Achilles), offensive tackles Ramon Harewood (ankle) and Jah Reid (calf) and defensive end Pernell McPhee (knee) remain on the physically unable to perform list.

Osemele, a second-round pick in April, was on that list until returning to practice today. He's been dealing with muscle spasms in his back. Osemele worked as the first-team right tackle in the early part of practice.

With McKinnie away from the team, the Ravens have installed Michael Oher as the left tackle and have opened up a competition for the starting right tackle spot. The three leading candidates for that job are Osemele, Harewood and Reid.
