The return of fullback Vonta Leach wasn't an indictment of rookie Kyle Juszczyk but does show it will take a year or two for him to become a legitimate fullback in the NFL. The Ravens were using Juszczyk as leverage to get Leach to sign a cheaper contract because they couldn't have really thought he was going to start.
The Ravens basically conceded that he was an H-back when they drafted him, and it was obvious after the first day of contact he wasn't prepared to be a lead blocker in the NFL. His technique wasn't up to par, especially when it came to exploding into a linebacker, and he needs a few more pounds as well. Ivy League stars don't usually become starters in the NFL overnight anymore.
