( Howard Smith, US PRESSWIRE / September 16, 2012 ) The Ravens' Pro Bowl running back led the NFL with 2,068 yards from scrimmage last season. He currently ranks 11th in the NFL with 167 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and he has caught nine passes for 78 yards, including four receptions for 50 yards on third down. He's fourth in the NFL in total yards from scrimmage with 245 yards, averaging seven yards per touch. His history against the Patriots, including 417 rushing yards and two touchdowns in four career games, suggests he could have a hefty role, but the Ravens had trouble solving the Patriots' front seven in the AFC title game as nose guard Vince Wilfork controlled the line of scrimmage. The Ravens have to be creative and get Rice involved. |
