It's nice to get rookie running back Bernard Pierce back to practice after missing extensive time with a hamstring injury. The Ravens want Pierce to become the No. 2 runner behind Ray Rice. He missed the preseason opener, and the other young runners didn't prove they were capable. But in all honesty, the Ravens' running game was poor against the Falcons. Even Rice got smacked several times before he got to the line of scrimmage.
