Wide receiver Torrey Smith broke Jamal Lewis’ rookie record for touchdowns in a season when he caught a pass from quarterback Joe Flacco and turned it into a 36-yard score with 1:55 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Smith’s success this season has affirmed the organization’s decision to use a second-round pick on the former University of Maryland standout in April.
“Torrey’s done a really good job,” coach John Harbaugh said during his weekly conference Monday. “He’s gotten better every week. We’re pleased with the fact that he’s a Raven. He’s a hard-working guy. But he can get a lot better, too. That’s what we’re looking for.”Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
