Towson star junior running back Terrance West has received his official invitation to the NFL scouting combine in February.
It's no surprise that West has been invited because he's rated as one of the better running backs available in the NFL draft.
West declared for the draft after Towson lost the national championship to North Dakota State.
The 5-foot-11, 223-pound Baltimore native has been graded as a potential second-round to third-round selection.
How he performs in testing and interviews at the combine next month at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis shapes up as a pivotal week for him.
Among the tests players perform at the combine: the 40-yard dash, bench press test, vertical leap, three-cone drill, standing broad jump, 20-yard shuttle and 60-yard shuttle.
West broke Football Championship Subdivision records last season with 2,509 yards and 42 total touchdowns.
He owns the school record with 86 career touchdowns and finished with 4,584 career rushing yards.
