The former Maryland standout was the NFL's Never Say Never Moment of the Year at the second annual NFL honors awards program.
The award signifies the top moment or play that represents "determination and perseverance."
Smith earned the award by excelling in a 31-30 comeback win in September over the New England Patriots, catching six passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns less than 24 hours after his younger brother, Tevin Jones, died in a motorcycle accident.
Smith rejoined his teammates at the team hotel hours before kickoff after learning of his brother's death early that morning.
A visibly emotional Smith played through his grief and helped the Ravens pick up a victory over the Patriots after losing to them in the AFC championship a year ago.
