Tandon Doss itching to return to practice

For the first three days of Ravens training camp, Tandon Doss put forth arguably one of the more improved showings from returning second-year players.

But the wide receiver has missed the last six consecutive days because of a hamstring injury. And he’s itching to return to the practice field.

“I’ve been out of football for a while,” he said in the locker room after Saturday’s practice. “I started off camp well and unfortunately, I had some maintenance issues that I had to take care of. I’m ready to get back on the field now. I should be back Monday. That’s the plan.”

Doss has been an everyday presence on the sideline, usually tossing a football with wide receiver/return specialist David Reed, who is recovering from surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Doss declined to say whether he had strained or pulled his hamstring. “I felt it tighten up so I’m just trying to lay low,” he said. “I’ve been in treatment every day, multiple times a day. I’ve been hitting it pretty hard.”
