When the Ravens took the field for their afternoon practice today, several key defensive players were nowhere to be seen.
Three days before their key AFC North game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens were missing three defensive starters, including their leading sack man and their top tackler.
Rush linebacker Terrell Suggs, who leads the team with nine sacks, missed his first practice of the season with a foot injury. Middle linebacker Daryl Smith, who leads the Ravens with 71 tackles, missed practice for a second straight day with a thigh injury.

It's unclear if either veteran is in danger of missing the Bengals' game though Suggs looked to be fine in the locker room earlier in the day.
Starting cornerback Jimmy Smith, who strained his groin in Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns, missed practice for a second straight day. If he can't play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, Corey Graham is expected to start. However, Graham wasn't practicing today either because of a calf injury.
The other two guys missing were right guard Kelechi Osemele, who is done for the rest of the season because of a back injury that requires surgery, and wide receiver Brandon Stokley, who has been dealing with a thigh/groin injury for several weeks.
Rookie wide receiver Marlon Brown (finger) was a full participant in practice fter he was limited Wednesday. Second-year cornerback Asa Jackson, who is elgible to return after serving an eight-game suspension, and rookie Kapron Lewis-Moore, who remains on the reserve/non-football injury list, also practiced for a second straight day.
For the Bengals, tight end Jermaine Gresham (groin), linebacker Rey Maualuga (knee) and defensive tackle Devon Still (elbow) did not practice today.
Rookie running back Giovani Bernard (ribs), guard Kevin Zeitler (hamstring) and linebacker Michael Boley (hamstring) were limited.
