Still concerned about lack of offensive mix -- we run w/o success for a half+ then go to almost strictly pass offense. Had our defense not come up big we could have been down 2 or 3 scores before they finally cut Flacco loose. Ran one draw with success in the almost complete passing series - further argument for nice blend of plays. In Broncos game we ran again w/o success almost entire 4th Qtr & OT - fortunately we get interception putting us in position to win. Had Peyton struck @any time in 4th or OT we're home watching.
In 4th up 2 scores we get the ball with 7 min to play. Pats are in trouble not knowing if we'll work the clock or go for the kill. Seemed a ideal time for play action - fake to Rice & they have to try & stop the run while Joe rolls right to hit open man or run to work the clock if WR not open. Instead we come out in empty backfield which really seemed strange -- YOUR THOUGHTS???
