Sources: Ravens met with free agent nose tackle Terrence Cody today

Terrence Cody

The Ravens met today with veteran unrestricted free agent nose tackle Terrence Cody, according to sources.

A 2010 Ravens second-round draft pick from Alabama, Cody wasn't immediately signed to a deal. It's undetermined at this time if the Ravens will bring back Cody, according to sources.

If the Ravens were to re-sign Cody, he would likely figure into the defensive line rotation as a backup.

Cody, 25, recorded 15 tackles in a dozen games last season with one start as he backed up Pro Bowl nose tackle Haloti Ngata.

This marks Cody's first free agent visit.

Cody had elbow and hip surgeries prior to last season.

For his career, the 6-foot-4, 340-pounder has 87 tackles and no sacks.

During the 2011 season, Cody started every game and had a career-high 34 tackles.

However, Cody would only start four of 27 games over the past two seasons.

Cody's four-year, $3.07 million rookie deal that included $1.594 million in guaranteed money expired after last season.
