Former Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan won't be joining the Ravens' coaching staff, according to a league source.
Shanahan was a finalist for the offensive coordinator job that went to former Texans coach Gary Kubiak.
Shanahan, 34, had an impressive interview with the Ravens and was recommended by three NFL coaches, including New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin, according to sources.
However, the Ravens ultimately went with Kubiak.
Shanahan was regarded as a potential quarterbacks coach under Kubiak.
Shanahan was fired along with his father, former Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, following a 3-13 season.
Shanahan had success as an offensive coordinator until last season, including a previous stint with a high-scoring Texans offense.
The Ravens are expected to make more staff changes with the arrival of Kubiak.
