The Ravens brought in former Dallas Cowboys safety Eric Frampton for a visit Tuesday, according to a league source. Frampton, 29, wasn't immediately signed to a contract.

Frampton was recently removed from the Cowboys' injured reserve list when they reached an injury settlement with him. He was on injured reserve for a groin injury.

Frampton, a 2007 fifth-round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders out of Washington State, has 108 career tackles and one forced fumble with no interceptions. He has also played for the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings.

Last season, Frampton led the Cowboys with 21 tackles on special teams and started the final two games of the season at strong safety, finishing with a career-high 25 tackles on defense last season.

The Ravens have already added safety and special teams depth by claiming former Cincinnati Bengals safety Jeromy Miles off waivers, cutting rookie Brynden Trawick and then signing Trawick to the practice squad.
