During the final two minutes of the Ravens' embarrassing 41-7 loss to the New England Patriots at M&T Bank Stadium, an errant shotgun snap from center Gino Gradkowski intended for Taylor was recovered for a touchdown by defensive end Chandler Jones.
"It was just a little off," said Taylor, who completed 1 of 4 passes for two yards for a zero quarterback rating. "It's stuff we work on every day and it was just mishandled at the end."
That miscue was Gradkowski's fault as the snap was off to Taylor's right and Taylor was unable to corral the loose football as Rob Ninkovich made contact with him while he was trying to scoop up the fumble.
Then, Taylor threw an interception to Patriots defensive back Tavon Wilson on a pass meant for wide receiver Marlon Brown. Wilson ran it back for 74 yards for a touchdown to cap the Patriots' scoring.
"I just saw the guy coming across Marlon and I think he got bumped on the route," said Taylor, who rushed for 39 yards on three carries, including a 25-yard scramble. "I could have thrown a better ball. The defender made a better play, too. It was just a lack of execution."
