In the minutes following the Ravens' 14-6 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Ravens running back Ray Rice turned his attention to Twitter.
Like many of his teammates, Rice hopped on the social network, to thank fans for support but also to let off a little frustration about some of the harsh comments he was reading on Twitter.
With 12 minutes and 17 seconds left in the game, Rice tucked a handoff from quarterback Joe Flacco. As Rice made his move to change directions, he grabbed his left side and crumbled to the ground untouched by a Browns defender. He did not return to the game.
While Rice was in the locker room dealing with the pain of what was later diagnosed as a strained left hip flexor, some fans lashed out on Twitter about the effect of Rice's injury to their fantasy football teams, which sparked a reaction after the game from Rice.
First Rice wrote, "Thanks for the Prayers God Bless you all #Ravens"
Then he added, "I was a fan of fantasy football until today so many spiteful and hateful words I still love you all God Bless great win today #Ravens"
After the game, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Rice would not have to undergo an MRI but the team is awaiting to determine the extent of the injury.
