It wasn't a gaudy game statistically for running back Ray Rice, but he did contribute to the Ravens' 29-26 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday by generating 109 total yards from scrimmage.

Rice rushed for 67 yards on 17 carries for a 3.9 average, his second-highest average per carry of the year. He also caught five passes for 42 yards.

In the fourth quarter, Rice rushed for 43 yards on seven carries.

The Ravens improved to 31-13 when Rice has 100 yards or more from scrimmage and 41-8 when he has at least 15 carries.

The yards didn't come easily against the Vikings' front seven, which includes defensive linemen Jared Allen, Brian Robison and Kevin Williams and linebacker Chad Greenway.

"That is a tough fighting bunch," said Rice, who's rushed for 539 yards and four touchdowns this season with 48 receptions for 255 yards. "The run game didn't come easy for us. Those are big, tall, strong, physical guys in there, but this was sweet. A three-game win streak, and every game matters."
