Ray Lewis, Rawlings-Blake to attend O.J. Brigance's 5.7K family fun run Saturday

Retired Ravens star middle linebacker Ray Lewis and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake are scheduled to attend Ravens senior advisor of player development O.J. Brigance's family fun run Saturday morning in Canton.

The Brigance Brigade 5.7K event at Canton Waterfront Park features a timed 5.7K run, a 1-mile run-walk and a kids' fun run. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m.

Besides Lewis and Rawlings-Blake, Ravens Pro Bowl offensive guard Marshal Yanda, team president Dick Cass and actor Josh Charles are also confirmed to attend.

A former Ravens linebacker and special teams ace on the Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV championship team, Brigance was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, in 2007.

Brigance and his wife, Chanda, created the Brigance Brigade Foundation to raise awareness and fund research iniatiatives.

“We are extremely excited to be hosting our first Brigance Brigade 5.7K," Brigance said. "The turnout for the race is phenomenal and we are so humbled by the support of Baltimore to battle ALS. We are so thankful and look forward to helping PALS who need our help. Thank you to everybody who contributed."
