Grubbs has missed the team’s two past contests because of strained ligaments in his toe. He has said that he’s a game-time decision for Sunday night’s game against the New York Jets at M&T Bank Stadium.
Wide receivers Lee Evans (left ankle) and David Reed (left shoulder strain), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring strain), free safety Haruki Nakamura (posterior cruciate ligament in right knee) and rookie cornerback Jimmy Smith (high left ankle sprain) did not practice for the second consecutive day.
For the Jets, starting cornerback Antonio Cromartie fully practiced after sitting out Wednesday’s session. Cromartie, who suffered bruised lungs and ribs in last Sunday’s 34-24 loss to the Oakland Raiders, is expected to play Sunday night.
Another starter in inside linebacker David Harris (toe) was upgraded from limited to full participation.
Starting center Nick Mangold (high right ankle sprain) did not practice for the second straight day. Starting wide receiver Plaxico Burress (hamstring) was downgraded from full to limited participation.
Starting defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (shoulder) was limited for the second consecutive day. A pair of starters in wide receiver Santonio Holmes (shoulder) and defensive tackle Mike DeVito (shoulder) fully practiced for the second straight day.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
