With Pro Bowl fullback Vonta Leach signed to a two-year, $3.75 million contract that includes a $1.16 million signing bonus and a first-year salary-cap figure of $1.47 million, the Ravens are now $4.384 million under the NFL salary-cap limit of $123 million.

Under the Rule of 51 governing NFL accounting systems during the offseason, just the top 51 salaries on the roster count against the salary cap until the 53-man regular-season roster is established. That's when all salaries, including players on injured reserve, the physically unable to perform list and the practice squad, will count and reduce the Ravens' amount of salary-cap room.

The top salary-cap figures on the roster: outside linebacker Terrell Suggs ($13.02 million), defensive tackle Haloti Ngata ($11.5 million), offensive guard Marshal Yanda ($7.45 million),  cornerback Lardarius Webb ($7.385 million), quarterback Joe Flacco ($6.8 million), running back Ray Rice ($5.75 million), offensive tackle Michael Oher ($4.95 million) and inside linebacker Jameel McClain ($4.2 million).

Besides his signing bonus, Leach has nonguaranteed base salaries of $840,000 in 2013 and $1.75 million in 2014. His salary-cap figure is $2.33 million in 2014. The contract includes a $50,000 incentive clause this year.

Under the terms of his previous deal, Leach was due to make a $3 million base salary and carry a $4.33 milion salary-cap figure. Now, his total earnings for this season are $2 million.

The Ravens terminated Leach's contract when they were unable to reach a compromise on lowering his salary-cap figure. Now, his cap figure is $2.86 million lower for the 2013 fiscal year.
