The Ravens have removed rookie linebacker Xavius Boyd from injured reserve and waived him. They had originally waived him from the roster with an injured designation last week.
Boyd has a pulled hamstring, but it's not expected to be a long-term injury. He didn't receive an injury settlement from the Ravens.
An undrafted free agent from Western Kentucky, Boyd signed a three-year, $1.531 million contract in May that incldued a $1,500 signing bonus.
He was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2013 when he registered 103 tackles, 15.5 for losses, 8.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
When Boyd was released, the Ravens replaced him on the roster with undrafted rookie outside linebacker Nick DiMarco.
