The Ravens placed rookie safety Christian Thompson on injured reserve with a knee injury, promoting safety Anthony Levine to the active roster from the practice squad.
Levine, 25, is a former undrafted free agent from Tennessee State who has a previous stint on the Green Bay Packers' practice squad for his first two NFL seasons.
The 5-foot-11, 199-pounder has yet to play in a regular-season game.
Thompson is a fourth-round draft pick from South Carolina State who had played on special teams in seven games this season.
