Ravens outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw isn't practicing today during an open practice at M&T Bank Stadium.

It's unclear why Upshaw isn't practicing after he made it through practice Saturday without anything noticeable.

Newly acquired veteran wide receiver Brandon Stokley signed his one-year contract, but isn't practicing. Stokley is on the field in street clothes.

Meanwhile, running back Bernard Pierce (left knee) and wide receiver Deonte Thompson (left foot) still aren't practicing after suffering injuries during a 44-16 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday to open the preseason.

Neither injury is considered a long-term ailment.

Pierce sprained his knee during a touchdown run against the Buccaneers when he got hit after reaching the end zone. A magnetic resonance imaging exam revealed no structural damage and Pierce could return in a few days, according to a source.

Thompson isn't expected to miss a significant amount of time, Sun colleague Jeff Zrebiec reported.

Several other players aren't practicing, including tight ends Ed Dickson (torn right hamstring), Dennis Pitta (season-ending dislocated, fractured hip), defensive end Marcus Spears (undisclosed), linebacker Bryan Hall (undisclosed), offensive guard Marshal Yanda (rotator cuff surgery), center Ryan Jensen (broken foot), inside linebacker Jameel McClain (spinal cord contusion), and defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore (anterior cruciate ligament)

Wide receiver David Reed (groin) practiced for the second consecutive day as well as safety Omar Brown.
