Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff plans to practice Wednesday

Four days after watching Shayne Graham boot two field goals in Saturday’s 20-14 win over the Cleveland Browns, Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff told reporters that he planned to attempt to practice on Wednesday.

Cundiff, who has been dealing with a calf injury for three weeks, said it was disappointing that he sat out Saturday, but he believes resting a week was the right thing to do for both him and the 11-4 Ravens.

“It’s not very fun watching from the sidelines, I’ll tell you that much,” Cundiff said. “It almost speeds the healing process because mentally it gets frustrating to watch someone else in your position when it’s really a one-man game. … I’m pretty optimistic about this week. I’m going to try it out and see how it responds.”

Meanwhile, Graham said that making both of his field goal attempts Saturday was a “confidence booster.”

“Anytime you get a chance to come in and help a team win, especially coming into a good team that’s in good position for the playoffs, it feels good to have your kicks matter in the outcome of the game,” he said.
