Ravens safety Ed Reed’s comments about the play of quarterback Joe Flacco on Sunday -- and the coverage of those comments here and elsewhere -- were a popular topic on Baltimore airwaves Wednesday morning.
In case you missed the comments Reed made on SiriusXM satellite radio on Monday, you can read them at FOXSports.com in a column from Adam Schein, one of the hosts who conducted the controversial interview with Reed. And SiriusXM provided some of the audio to ESPN. You can listen to that sound clip at this link.
Some feel Reed’s comments about Flacco being “rattled a little bit” in the 20-13 win over the Houston Texans and that “it just didn’t look like he had a hold on the offense” were taken out of context. Decide for yourself.
I also want to point out that linebacker Terrell Suggs defended his quarterback on Tuesday in an appearance on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.” Suggs referred to Flacco as “my quarterback” or “my boy” nine times in a minute. Here is a link to the video of Suggs on “SportsCenter” courtesy of the fine sports blog Larry Brown Sports.
