The Ravens currently have 89 players on their roster, and all but six of them are out on the practice field today at the Under Armour Performance Center as the team prepares for Thursday's preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.
The six players missing are wide receiver Deonte Thompson (left foot), tight end Dennis Pitta (dislocated right hip), center Ryan Jensen (broken left foot), linebackers Jameel McClain (spinal cord contusion) and Adrian Hamilton (right wrist), and defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore (right knee).
It's the second straight practice in which Hamilton is sidelined, while the other five remain out indefinitely.
Continuing his recovery from a torn hamstring, tight end Ed Dickson is practicing for a second straight day. Weak-side linebacker Elvis Dumervil, who missed two workouts with a minor groin injury, is also on the practice field for a second straight day.
Dickson won't play Thursday, but selected starters could play as much as three quarters against the Panthers.
Hall of Fame offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden is watching practice today from a terrace overlooking the fields. When he spotted him, Ravens rush linebacker Terrell Suggs playfully challenged Ogden to come down to the field so Suggs could "try his luck" against him.
