The Ravens today agreed to a four-year deal with linebacker Arthur Brown, leaving them with just two unsigned picks.

Brown, a standout at Kansas State, was the second of the Ravens' 10 picks in last month's draft. The only two that have not signed are first-rounder Matt Elam, a safety from the Florida, and third-rounder Brandon Williams, a nose tackle who played at Missouri Southern.

Brown's deal will be worth roughly $3.55 million and include a signing bonus of $964,896.

The Ravens traded their second-round pick, a fifth-rounder and a sixth-rounder to the Seattle Seahawks to move up six spots and take Brown.

At 6 feet and 242 pounds, Brown was a two-time first-team All-Big 12 selection and the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year last season. After transferring from Miami, Brown started all 26 games in his two-year Kansas State career and led the team in tackles in both seasons.

With the retirement of Ray Lewis, the loss of Dannell Ellerbe in free agency and the release of Brendon Ayanbadejo, Brown is expected to get an opportunity to start immediately at inside linebacker.

However, Brown did have a recent setback, undergoing surgery to remove a sports hernia. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said yesterday that Brown had the surgery about two weeks ago and it requires a four-to-six week recovery time. That means that Brown should be ready to go in time for training camp.
