The Ravens have added undrafted Georgia wide receiver Marlon Brown to the roster and cut former Towson wide receiver Gerrard Sheppard.
Signed by the Ravens as an undrafted free agent, Sheppard is a McDonogh graduate who caught a touchdown pass to close the Ravens' rookie minicamp.
Brown is a tall downfield target at 6 feet 4, 213 pounds who's coming off a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee suffered in November against Ole Miss. He had three catches for 113 yards and a touchdown in that game.
Brown caught 27 passes last season for 469 yards and four touchdowns, including eight catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns against Missouri.
As a junior, Brown caught 15 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns.
He finished his career with 55 receptions for 855 yards and eight touchdowns.
A blue-chip recruit from Memphis, Tenn., Brown was a Parade Magazine All-American and Mr. Football in Tennessee. He had 1,785 all-purpose yards with 19 touchdowns as a senior, including 338 yards and four touchdowns in the state championship game.
Brown tried out previously for the Houston Texans at a rookie minicamp, but left after a few practices.
