Season in review: Rice had the worst season of his six-year NFL career, finishing with just 660 rushing yards, which ranked 30th in the NFL, and four touchdowns. His numbers across the board were his lowest since his rookie season in 2008. Rice battled injuries and ineffectiveness throughout and even found himself on the bench for most of the first half in the Ravens' must-win Week 17 game.
Stat that stands out: 9 -- The number of tackles that Rice broke this season according to Pro Football Focus, the fewest of any starting running back in the NFL.
Outlook for 2014 and beyond: Other than maybe quarterback Joe Flacco, no Raven will be under the microscope more next season than Rice who has vowed to rededicate himself this offseason and regain the form that made him one of the league's top all-purpose backs. With the way his contract is structured, the 2014 campaign could be a big one in determining Rice's future with the Ravens.
