Ravens starting left defensive end Pernell McPhee declared that he expects to play Sunday despite a right knee injury that sidelined him at practice Wednesday.
McPhee underwent arthroscopic surgery during the spring, missing the majority of the organized team activities and minicamps.
McPhee shared a sack with outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw against the Cincinnati Bengals. In the locker room after the game, McPhee had an ice pack applied to his knee and said he wasn't hurt and that it was just a precautionary measure.
"I feel pretty good, I feel better," McPhee said. "I expect to play Sunday."
UPDATE: McPhee wasn't at practice during the portion open to reporters.
Meanwhile, six-time Pro Bowl center Matt Birk (thigh) returned to practice after saying earlier today that he will play Sunday.
UPDATE II: Kruver didn't practice as well as McPhee and Reid. Birk and safety Ed Reed (strained right hamstring) were limited.
Cornerback Curtis Marsh (hamstring) was limited.
Safety Kurt Coleman (facial lacerations) was upgraded to full participation after being limited Wednesday.
