Outside linebacker Paul Kruger continues to thrive in a situational pass rushing role.
Kruger recorded his team-high and career-high ninth sack Sunday during a 23-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals to wrap up the regular season.
The pending unrestricted free agent has definitely boosted his stock.
Kruger has said he prefers to remain in Baltimore, but he'll also have other lucrative options in March when the free agency signing period begins.
"I'm excited for the future," said Kruger, a former second-round draft pick from Utah. "I've really developed here a lot. I really appreciate the teammates and coaches that have pushed me to get better. So, I'm really excited."
Heading into an opening-round playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts, the Ravens' defense will need Kruger to provide a pass rush against rookie quarterback Andrew Luck.
"Everybody has to show up these next couple of weeks," Kruger said. "It's a big time. We are going to be doing everything we can to be ready."
