That isn't to say the Ravens emerged completely unscathed from a 55-20 rout of the Oakland Raiders on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.
However, Reed characterized it as minor.
"I'm fine," Reed said. "It was just a minor stinger, not very serious."
Reed wasn't happy with his performance against the Raiders, which included three tackles, no pass deflections and no interceptions.
"The game was, we thought out of reach," Reed said of not finishing the game as James Ihedigbo substituted for him. "The offense was playing well, and I was having a pretty bad game as an individual, and I really didn't want to go back out there as a competitor playing the way I was playing.
"But we've got guys that can step up, step in and needed to get those reps and see what other guys can do. Coach [John Harbaugh] just pulled me out, which was good."
Rookie outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw aggravated a right shoulder injury first sustained during training camp and had an ice pack on it when leaving the locker room.
"It's not that bad," Upshaw said. "It's fine."
