1. How will the Ravens' defense handle Charlie Batch's presence?
Steelers veteran quarterback Charlie Batch is an ordinary player who uncorked three interceptions against the Cleveland Browns a week ago.
Despite his advanced age at 37 years old, Batch still has some mobility. He tends to get flustered into mistakes despite outwardly appearing poised. The Ravens can attack Batch because he's less inclined to leave the pocket than injured star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who has been ruled out with shoulder and rib injuries. The Steelers are vulnerable on the offensive line, with rookie tackle Mike Adams sidelined with an ankle injury, and offensive tackle Willie Colon questionable with a knee injury. Outside linebacker Paul Kruger dominated Adams. Now, he gets a shot at Kelvin Beachum, a former seventh-round draft pick making his first NFL start. This could get ugly if the Ravens can repeat the pressure they created against the San Diego Chargers when they generated a season-high six sacks. |
