The Ravens know their opponents for the 2012 season, but they don't know when they'll play them. That will change tonight.

The NFL will release its schedule for the 2012 season tonight at 7 live on NFL Network and at NFL.com. Keep checking at baltimoresun.com/ravens for analysis of the 2012 schedule and a downloadable version.

Of course, around these parts, the big question will be whether the Ravens get to play host to a Monday night game at M&T Bank Stadium during the 2012 campaign. They haven't had a Monday night game in Baltimore since December 2007 when they were beaten, 27-24, by the New England Patriots, and that fact has long annoyed Ravens fans.

The Ravens have played six road games on Monday night since that Patriots' game in 2007.

I don't have any inside information on the schedule, but I'd have to think that the Monday night home drought will change this year with the number of high-profile opponents coming to M&T Bank Stadium and with the Ravens expected to enter the season as one of the favorites in the AFC.

And one more time before we know the exact dates, below are the Ravens' opponents in 2012:

Home: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos New England Patriots, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders.

Road:  Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins.
