The City of Baltimore and the NFL have finalized details for “NFL Kickoff 2013 Presented By Pepsi,” an outdoor concert on Sept. 5 in the Inner Harbor that features a performance by Grammy Award-winning singer Keith Urban. The event, which starts at 6 p.m. and is free and open to the public, will serve as a lead-in to the Ravens-Denver Broncos regular-season opener at Sports Authority Field at Mile High later that night.
Urban will perform from a floating stage in the Inner Harbor. Guests can see the concert from general public viewing areas which will be located near the Maryland Science Center. Those areas will be open starting at 6 p.m. on Sept. 5, and access will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Guests can enter by the Baltimore Visitor Center on Light Street, at Conway Street or off of Key Highway between the Science Center and Rash Field. There will be no re-entry into those areas.
The NFL’s new bag policy, which prohibits coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage, computer bags and purses, will also be effect. Permissible bags include: one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags, clear, plastic, vinyl bags that don’t exceed 12 x 6 x 12 and clutch bags approximately the size of an adult’s hand.
