Ravens Pro Bowl offensive guard Marshal Yanda and starting wide receiver Torrey Smith returned to practice on a limited basis today after being sidelined Wednesday.
Yanda is coming off a serious sprained right ankle that forced him to miss the Ravens' 34-17 loss to the Denver Broncos. Smith suffered a mild concussion against the Broncos and didn't finish the game.
"Practice was great," Yanda said. "I did OK."
Under NFL policy governing players who've sustained a concussion and haven't been cleared for contact yet, Smith wasn't made available to reporters for interviews.
Rookie backup running back Bernard Pierce (concussion) was at practice, but he was in street clothes and didn't practice. Wide receiver Tandon Doss was at practice during the portion open to reporters, but he didn't have his helmet with him and was listed as not practicing.
Not at practice during the early portion: strong safety Bernard Pollard, who's dealing with an aggravated rib injury that kept him out of the Denver game, and fullback Vonta Leach (ankle).
Leach said he'll be able to play Sunday.
Inside linebacker Jameel McClain (spinal cord contusion) didn't practice, but has already been declared out for the season.
Middle linebacker Ray Lewis (surgically repaired right triceps), who remains on the injured reserve-designated to return list, and outside linebacker Terrell Suggs (torn right biceps, Achilles) are practicing for the second day in a row.
Suggs was added to the injury report as participating fully after not being listed Wednesday.
Limited for Baltimore: tight end Ed Dickson (hyperextended knee), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (sprained right ankle), safety James Ihedigbo (neck), defensive end Arthur Jones (bruised right shoulder), outside linebacker Albert McClellan (hamstring, shoulder).
Participating fully: defensive end Pernell McPhee (groin), safety Ed Reed (torn shoulder labrum), cornerback Jimmy Smith (sports hernia surgery), Suggs, wide receiver Deonte Thompson (thigh ) and wide receiver LaQuan Williams (thigh).
