As the Ravens' final draft pick in April, cornerback Marc Anthony is in a battle to earn a roster spot.
So far, the seventh-rounder from California is off to a solid start as he learns the defense and transitions to the NFL.
Anthony has lined up at several spots in the secondary during offseason practices and doesn't look out of place.

"It's been good," Anthony said. "I'm learning a lot from the veterans. Having them there to answer my questions has been great. As far as the film and everything, they're always there to help me."
Anthony signed a four-year, $2.205 million contract that includes a $45,896 signing bonus and base salaries of $405,000, $495,000, $585,000 and $675,000.
He had 138 career tackles (13 for losses), five interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, 26 pass deflections and two forced fumbles. Last season, Anthony had a career-high 52 tackles and two interceptions.
He was selected 247th overall with a compensatory pick, the Ravens' 10th draft pick this year.
“There is one thing that we never have enough of, and that’s corners,” general manager Ozzie Newsome said of Anthony following the draft.
Anthony started 32 games at California, including 10 last season when he also had three pass breakups and a forced fumble.
Although Anthony has good size (5 feet 11, 196 pounds), a 35-inch vertical leap and a 9-10 broad jump, his slow 40-yard dash times caused him to fall in the draft. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.59 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, clocking a 4.63 at his campus Pro Day workout.
What does Anthony bring to the table as a candidate for playing time in the secondary and on special teams?
"Just my physicality and versatility," Anthony said. "They have me working at a lot of positions right now. I'm coming in and finding my role and contributing in any way."
