The Ravens remain mum on whether Ray Lewis will play Sunday against the Denver Broncos, but the middle linebacker was present at the early portion of practice open to the media.
Lewis has not played since Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys because of a torn right triceps injury. He practiced some last week but there was no sign of him during the early part of Wednesday's practice, fueling speculation that he may not be ready to return against the Broncos.
Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, who has missed the past two weeks with an ankle injury, returned to practice on a limited basis. After missing yesterday's practice, defensive end/tackle Arthur Jones (shoulder) was back on the field today as well as a limited participant.
Fullback Vonta Leach (ankle), guard Marshal Yanda (ankle), linebacker Jameel McClain (neck), defensive end Pernell McPhee (thigh/groin) and safety Bernard Pollard (chest) all were not practicing for a second consecutive day. McClain has already been declared out for Sunday's game.
Running backs Ray Rice (hip) and Bernard Pierce (back) and tight end Ed Dickson (knee) were also limited. Dickson has missed the past two games.
Wide receiver Jacoby Jones (ankle), LaQuan Williams (thigh) and Deonte Thompson (thigh), linebacker Terrell Suggs (biceps), cornerbacks Jimmy Smith (abdomen) and Chykie Brown (knee) and safety Ed Reed (shoulder) all practiced in full.
For the Broncos, guard Chris Kuper (ankle) and linebacker Wesley Woodyard (ankle) were limited. Wide receivers Demaryius Thomas (shoulder), Trindon Holliday (knee) and Matthew Willis (knee) practiced in full.
